The President
Assalamualaikum dan Selamat Sejahtera.
Dear members,
As the new President of Majlis Datuk Persekutuan Malaysia (MDPM), I am honored to be part of this esteemed organization. I express my sincere gratitude to the past President, YBhg Datuk Awalan Abdul Aziz.
MDPM’s objective is to foster goodwill and fellowship among its members and establish a strong working relationship with the government and the official State Datuk Associations of Malaysia.
We aim to continuously improve in various sectors, including organizing international–level conferences and actively participating in charitable campaigns that align with our concept of a caring society. I am optimistic that MDPM will become a prominent NGO that positively impacts society and the country.
I am blessed to work with Ladies and Gentlemen from various professions, who hold the honorary titles of PJN (Pingat Jasa Negara) and PSD (Panglima Setia DiRaja). Together, we possess a wealth of experience spanning thousands of years, which we are eager to share with future generations.
Let us unite and collaborate!
My vision as the new President of MDPM for the 2023/2025 term is for our organization to become a prominent NGO that significantly contributes to the well–being of society and the country. To achieve this, we will initiate international conferences with the assistance of relevant government agencies at both State and Federal levels. These conferences will attract Asean and global players, stimulating the economy through foreign direct investments and business opportunities.
Furthermore, I propose opening up Sabah and Sarawak as the future economic powerhouses, given their extensive natural resources and proximity to Nusantara, the new Indonesian capital. I also suggest that the Government considers appointing some of our Panglima Jasa Negara (PJN) members as Senators in the Dewan
Negara.
Since its establishment in 2002, MDPM has lacked a permanent office and administrative staff, causing it to move around frequently. It is my vision to provide MDPM with a permanent office and the necessary administrative support.
In conclusion, MDPM transcends being a mere group of PJN recipients. I firmly believe that we can significantly impact society through our Economic, Agriculture, Health, Sports, and Education bureaus by giving back and contributing to these sectors.
