Datuk Alvin Tee is the Group Managing Partner of UHY in Malaysia. Datuk Alvin has 33 years of professional audit, assurance, corporate finance, and insolvency experience, which includes 5 years as a bank examiner with the Central Bank of Malaysia, inspecting financial institutions under the purview of the Central Bank and administer assessments on the soundness and solvency of such financial institutions. Datuk Alvin subsequently moved on to Public Practice and was Partner of a medium size accounting firm for 14 years.

In year 2008, Datuk Alvin joined UHY in Malaysia. He currently leads the assurance, advisory and insolvency practices of the Kuala Lumpur (KL) office. Advisory services in the KL office include major client engagements that involve mergers and acquisitions, public listing on the Securities Exchange and corporate exercises. Professional assignments that are personally led by Alvin include Court appointed Liquidator, Bank appointed Receiver & Manager (R&M) assignments, debt restructuring of distressed companies and forensic audits. In October 2021, Alvin was elected as Board Member of Urbach Hacker Young International Limited, the Governing body of UHY worldwide networks of accounting firms for a period of 3 years at the 2021 Annual General Meeting held in London.

Datuk Alvin is also the Chairman of Visa and Business Advisory Committee and the Director of Malaysia China Business Council, the Secretary General in the Council of Federal Datuks Malaysia, the Vice President of The Federation of Hokkien Associations of Malaysia, the Executive Vice President of Malaysia-Guangdong Chamber of Investment Promotion, a Member of Tsinghua University Alumni, Malaysia Chapter and a Member of Lion Club International.

In year 2015, he was conferred the PJN (Panglima Jasa Negara) by the King of Malaysia, that carries the title of ‘Datuk’ in recognition of his contribution to the nation and accounting fraternity.
