Dr Tom Tan holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Newcastle, Australia with a primary focus in Online\u00a0 Consumer Behavior and has over 34 years of experience in training, entrepreneurship, operations, information technology and\u00a0 consulting.<\/span><\/p>

Tom understands both technology and business and is able to synthesise the impact of technology in today\u2019s business. His experiences\u00a0 in the corporate sector which ranges from providing leadership in strategy management and operations in various industry ranging from\u00a0 finance, consulting, online gaming, B2B commerce and software development in addition to his entrepreneurial experience in starting up\u00a0 a training college, one of the first Internet training college in Malaysia and the establishment of a full-fledged university in Malaysia\u00a0 allows him to effectively link both theoretical and practical application.<\/span><\/p>

He was a business coach for Yayasan Inovasi Malaysia, United Nations Capital Development Fund, MAGIC, Cyberview as well as SME\u00a0 Corp for developing start-up and scale-up entrepreneurs and was one of three people selected by British Computer Society and working\u00a0 with MDEC to be an external assessor for Computational Thinking.
