Datuk Kuthubul Zaman Bukhari was conferred the title of Panglima Jasa Negara (P.J.N.) by the twelfth Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong in 2006 which carries the title of \u2018Datuk\u2019.<\/p>


A Barrister-at-Law (Lincoln\u2019s Inn), Datuk Kuthubul Zaman is an advocate and solicitor and Senior Partner of Zaman & Associates. He possesses an LLB degree with honours from the University of London, United Kingdom and an LLM degree from the same university. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a mediator with the Bar Council Malaysian Mediation Centre.<\/p>


Datuk Kuthubul Zaman was President of the Malaysian Bar and Chairman of the Bar Council from 2003 to 2005. During that period, he was appointed by the twelfth Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong to sit on two Royal Commissions, i.e. between 2003 to 2004, the Royal Commission to Enhance the Operation and Management of the Royal Malaysian Police; and in December 2005, the Royal Commission To Enquire Into The Standard Operating Procedure, Rules And Regulations In Relation To The Conduct Of Body Search In Respect Of An Arrest And Detention.<\/p>
