    The founder of Marcoco Furniture, Datuk Cha is Advisor and Past President of Persatuan Perabot Malaysia where he served as President from 2002 to 2007. During his term as President, he organised a major Export Furniture Exhibition (EFE) in 2006 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre to promote Malaysian-made furniture at the international stage and boost the domestic economy. Exports of Malaysian furniture have since achieved RM12 billion in annual sales and Malaysia now ranks among the top 10 largest exporters of furniture in the world.<\/p>

    Datuk Cha was appointed as Honorary Consul-General of the Republic of Fiji in Penang in October 2020. He is an executive committee member of Majlis Datuk Persekutuan Malaysia (MDPM) and advisor to Yayasan Dato\u2019 Malaysia.<\/p>

    He is a former board committee member of the Asian Furniture Industry Council and Past President of Persatuan Ibu Bapa dan Guru (PIBG) SJK(C) Kwang Hwa, Butterworth and Chung Ling High School in Butterworth, Penang.<\/p>
