Datuk Bill Tan was conferred the title of Panglima Jasa Negara (P.J.N.) by the fourteenth Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong in 2016 which carries the title of ‘Datuk’.

Datuk Bill Tan is the Managing Director of M & A Equity Holdings Berhad (M & A Equity), a company listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad which provides stockbroking and corporate finance advisory services. He has over 30 years of experience in the fields of accounting and finance, corporate restructuring, initial public offerings (IPO), fund raising, and mergers and acquisitions.

Under the stewardship of Datuk Bill Tan, M & A Securities Sdn Bhd (a wholly-owned subsidiary of M & A Equity) was awarded the ‘Best IPO Principal Advisor’ for 2020 and 2021 by Frost & Sullivan.

Datuk Bill Tan holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Murdoch University, Australia. He is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and CPA Australia.
